ALERT: Nassau County Legislature has scheduled a public hearing and a vote for this coming Monday, March 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM on the proposed local law that would prohibit the sale and distribution of kratom in Nassau County.
How to Participate:
In Person: The hearing will be held at the Peter J. Schmitt Memorial Legislative Chamber in Mineola, New York. Attendees wishing to speak must submit a comment slip to Clerk's office staff upon arrival. Public comment is limited to 3 minutes per person.
Written Comment: If you cannot attend in person, you can submit written public comment by email to: LegPublicComment@nassaucountyny.gov
All written comments will be made part of the formal record of the meeting.
